Studio Talk
I was joined by Ant Dickinson for the open studio event and talk at Ruthin Craft Centre today. Ant had collected sound recordings from the river Dee, off Offa's Dyke path. We integrated the sounds within the copper water pipes. My interests are concerned with the impact of 'growth' and industry on the natural environment and the notion of fragmented sounds travelling through the angular pipes, reflects the idea of culverted rivers through Wrecsam town centre. Time spent exploring the grounds of Chirk Castle have highlighted these thoughts and the sensory visiblity of industry.
